Coaching your process improvement

Basing management of the business on processes will generate benefits if it is approached properly. Unfortunately, this is not often the case! We propose taking a pragmatic, “hands-on” approach, using a tool to model and structure information that is flexible according to the level already reached. This approach enables managers and working groups to understand the process, describe and review the activities, as well as ask the right questions, implement fast improvements (“Quick Win”) and introduce new practices that generate progress.

The aim

If all businesses have decided more or less quickly to adjust their management practices by using processes, it is because there are many benefits attached to doing so: activities are more focused on added value, they are better coordinated and experience fewer malfunctions. The company also responds more quickly in adjusting to its environment and developing.
However, there are many difficulties associated with this evolution, the risk being:

  • on the one hand, dilution in the analyses and practices that are too detailed, requiring specialists and ultimately leading nowhere,
  • and on the other, too high a level of adjustment made by management, resulting again in a system based on authority, without enjoying the benefits mentioned above.
